D'OH!!!

There are reasons why one should never, ever, attempt to do fancy stuff with one's Blogger template late at night after drinks. I erased all my stuff. I'm sooooo stupid! It will take me a while to get all my links back up... At least my posts survived! ARGH!!! Anyway, it's a good excuse to try out a new look, I figure. I'm going to go kick myself some more now.

Several Hours (and many cups of coffee) Later: Okay, most of my links are back, and I'm still having fun tweaking the look. Thanks to blogger-saavy Rachel - when I followed your instructions, my links did reappear! I erased too much to get back all the little buttons, etc., but I'm still quite happy! Thanks again!

Oh no! I have been wanting to change my blogger template, but I am concerned about losing stuff too. It takes a long time to get it set up. Someday I will get so bored with the look of my blog I will take the jump and try to change it.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting on the socks. They are a fun knit.

Oy! I *so* hear you! Last time I got a bit wasted, I managed to mess up my whole blog's template - it took CM ages to fix everything up again! What do we learn from this? Never play around with our blogs when drunk ;) Fingers crossed that you'll get everything back in shape soon!

  5. You know, your old stuff is still probably saved under your old blogger template. If you can re-install it, it'll pop back up.

Then, what I do is copy all the HTML code that's in the sidebar onto a regular word doc. Upload your new template, and paste the HTML code back into the sidebar. I know it's a little more time consuming, but at least you'll have all your stuff!
