The first movement of the Symphony No. 25 in G Minor is the most exhilarating piece of music ever and my heart literally starts racing to keep up with the violins - it's like auditory speed! Don't want to use super bulky so have tried to size it up for a chunky yarn and always end up with something for a kid...sigh I lOVE the pattern, guess I will just have to keep trying.<BR/><BR/>When I was a kid my mother would play the Jupiter symphony endlessly, feel a little like it was my soundtrack for a few years. But my absolute favorite Mozart is the Clarinet concerto 622. I will forever associate it with one of the most beautiful and poignant pieces of choreography I have ever seen, a duet by Lars Lubovitch from the mid 80s. It still makes me tear up to think of it... I heard it when I was in junior high or high school, and my band director gave it to me to practice on. I couldn't play much of it, but my band director said I should use the beginning as a warm-up when I was around other bassoonists so that I could impress them and make them think it was in my repertoire because it's such a complex piece!<BR/><BR/>I never actually pulled his trick, but it's always been my favorite Mozart.
